Boobie Ike
Boobie Ike is Vice City money with Vice City taste — the kind of local figure whose name is on a building downtown and a VIP rope at three different clubs, and who never seems to be short of either. Real estate gives him the legitimate face; nightlife gives him the reach; and neither one fully explains where the rest of his income actually comes from, which is exactly how he seems to like it. His record label, run in partnership with Dre'Quan Priest, is the piece of his empire that gets talked about the most, and for good reason — a music label doubles as both a cultural foothold in the city and a very convenient way to move money and people around without too many questions being asked. That's not a new idea in the GTA universe, but Boobie Ike wears it especially well. The partnership with Dre'Quan appears to be a genuine one rather than just a business arrangement of convenience — two men who each bring something the other doesn't, one supplying the capital and connections, the other supplying the ear for talent and the studio time. Together they've built enough of a name that Real Dimez signing with them is treated as a meaningful moment rather than a footnote. Everything about Boobie Ike suggests a man who has spent years learning exactly how far Vice City will let him go before it pushes back — and who is fully expecting, at some point in this story, to find out.
