Cal Hampton
Cal operates out of Vice City proper, and everything about how he's been described so far — cautious, homebound, more comfortable behind a phone than in the middle of a job — marks him as the planner in Jason's circle rather than the muscle. Every GTA crew needs someone who stays back and keeps things running while everyone else is out taking risks; Cal reads like that role. That caution isn't framed as weakness. In a world built around impulsive people making increasingly bad decisions, someone who thinks twice before answering a call tends to last longer than the ones who don't. Cal's value to Jason is likely less about firepower and more about information — knowing who's asking questions, who's owed money, and who's about to become a problem. His homebound streak also suggests a character who's carved out something resembling a normal life in Vice City, which makes him an odd fit for the chaos Jason and Lucia are about to bring into it. Whether that stability survives contact with the rest of the story is very much an open question. For now, Cal exists mostly at the edges of what's been shown — a name attached to Jason's past rather than a face given much screen time yet. That will likely change as more of the story comes into focus.
