Lucia Caminos

Lucia is the first woman to headline a mainline Grand Theft Auto game, and Rockstar has built the reveal trailers around that fact deliberately — she isn't a sidekick who happens to be playable, she's positioned as co-lead from the very first frame she appears in. That alone makes her the most closely watched character in the game before a single mission has been played. She comes into the story fresh out of Leonida Penitentiary, which tells you most of what you need to know about how the last few years went for her. Prison doesn't soften people like Lucia; it tends to make them faster, more decisive, and considerably less patient with anyone who wastes her time. Whatever put her away, she's not interested in repeating the mistake that got her caught — only in not getting caught again. Her partnership with Jason forms almost immediately, and the trailers frame it less as romance-first and more as two survivors recognizing the same look in each other. She reads as the sharper-tongued half of the two of them, quicker to call out a bad plan and quicker to improvise when the good plan falls apart anyway. Outside of Jason, Lucia is kept deliberately isolated in what's been shown so far — no obvious crew of her own, no old contacts surfacing yet. That's likely to change once the full story unfolds, but for now she reads as someone who's used to relying on herself first and anyone else second.
