Vice City

Vice City returns as the beating heart of Leonida, and it's the name that made longtime fans do a double take the moment it was confirmed — this isn't a new city built to replace an old favorite, it's the same one, rebuilt from scratch for a new console generation. Every trailer so far treats it as the anchor the rest of the map orbits around. What's been shown is a city split into distinct districts along the waterfront, each with its own visual identity — glassy downtown towers, sun-bleached residential strips, marinas packed with boats that look considerably more expensive than anything parked nearby. It's dense in a way earlier GTA cities weren't quite able to pull off, with detail packed into blocks rather than just spread across a wider map. It's also where most of the story's supporting cast does business. Boobie Ike's real estate and nightlife interests, Dre'Quan Priest's record label, the entire music scene that produced Real Dimez — all of it lives inside Vice City rather than out in the surrounding regions, which makes the city function as much as a social network as a place on the map. Day and night versions of the city have been shown to look and feel meaningfully different, continuing a series tradition but pushed further than before — the neon-soaked nightlife side and the sun-drenched daytime side almost read as two different cities sharing the same streets.
